Official Rules for the 2010 Nation's Next Top Model Home
Nation's Next Top Model Home (The Contest) is an online reality competition that recognizes exceptional interior design upon the backdrop of quality model homes.

ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATIONS:
• The Contest is open only to adults over the age of 18 who are members of the American Society
of Interior Designers in good standing. Entrants must be legal residents of the 50 United
States and Washington, DC who are 18 or older at time of entry. Employees of Nation’s Next Top
Model, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and Internet agencies are not eligible.
HOW TO ENTER:
Beginning Friday, October 2, 2009, qualified persons may enter The Contest by visiting
www.NationsNextTopModelHome.com and filling out the official entry form. Entries may be
submitted digitally through the website or by mail to: NNTMH Entries, 7032 Wrightsville Avenue,
Suite 201, Wilmington, NC 28403. All entries must include a completed entry form, three (3)
examples of the entrant’s design portfolio, a video explaining why the applicant should be chosen
and the applicant’s ASID license number.
Entry Cutoff Date: Any entry received after 11:59pm EDT on January 18, 2010 will not be accepted.
Between five (5) and seven (7) designers will be selected to participate in The Contest.
CONTEST DETAILS:
• The winning designer will be determined by public vote. The public will cast ballots in person
and online for their favorite interior design. The designer whose interior receives the most votes
will be awarded the title of Designer of 2010 Nation’s Next Top Model Home, and a $25,000 cash
prize.
• Once The Contest is completed, Nation’s Next Top Model officials will tally the ballots and the
designer of the model home that receives the most votes will be the winner. In the event of a tie,
the designers who receive the most votes will divide the $25,000 prize equally.
DESIGNER SELECTION:
• Between five (5) to seven (7) designers will be selected to participate in The Contest. They
will be selected by a panel of Nation’s Next Top Model Home Judges on the basis of portfolio,
professional qualifications, entry video and personality. 12 finalists will be selected. Finalists will
be required to participate in a phone interview. The interview portion will determine the judges’
selection of contestants.
• The 12 finalists will be notified by phone and email. The selected cast members will be notified
by phone and email. Notification dates will be announced at a later date.
DESIGNER REQUIREMENTS:
• ASID Membership
Each participating designer (Competitor) must remain an ASID member in good standing at
all times during The Contest and shall provide evidence to Nation’s Next Top Model Home,
LLC of such membership prior to the commencement of the contest.
• Website:
a. Each designer will document his/her experience in The Contest through a blog on the
contest website and through information and photos posted on the contest website.
b. Each designer shall accept full responsibility and liability for the comments he/she posts
on the contest website and agrees not to submit content that is false and defamatory, misleading,
unreasonably offensive or inflammatory, or harmful.
• Spending Limitation:
An equal, predetermined amount will be allotted to each cast member. The allotted amount
will be delivered by the developer of the 2010 location upon the commencement of the contest
and any remaining funds the designer may choose to spend (amount to be set at a later
date by The Contest) shall be the sole responsibility of the designer.
• Expense Reports:
a. At a specified time, each designer shall provide Nation’s Next Top Model Home with an
expense report setting out on a line-item basis all of the expenses he/she incurred to complete
the design project for the contest. Each designer must attach all receipts, bills of lading
or any other evidence of amounts paid by the designer to complete the design project to the
expense report that it submits to Nation’s Next Top Model Home.
b. Nation’s Next Top Model Home shall have the right, but not the obligation, to audit the
expense report or any information submitted by the designer in support thereof.
c. Each designer acknowledges that his/her failure to comply with the spending limitations or
the rules related to expense reports will be grounds for disqualification from the contest.
• Travel and Accommodations:
a. The applicants chosen to be cast members for the 2010 show must agree to the travel
requirements and accommodations requirements of The Contest. Travel requirements may
include but are not limited to: arrival at 2010 Contest Location at commencement of show,
pre-show filming and engagements, select appearances based on media requests, VIP &
Cast Events throughout the show.
b. Accommodations requirements may include but are not limited to: agreement to stay in a
Contest House with other cast members for a specified time. The specifics of these
requirements will be presented to finalists. Finalists must agree to comply with the specifics
of the travel and accommodations requirements in order to be selected as a cast member.
CONTEST PRIZE:
• $25,000 to winning designer.
This amount will be reported to the Internal Revenue Service and all applicable taxes are
the responsibility of the winning designer
• $500 for designer selected Mr./Ms. Online Congeniality, awarded for competing designer who
maintains the most robust online competition journal. Selected by The Contest Judges.
• $500 for designer selected Drama King/Queen, awarded for competing designer who is consistently
the most dramatic in all webisodes. Selected by The Contest Judges.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
Nation’s Next Top Model Home (The Contest) is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local
laws and regulations. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Nation’s Next Top Model
Home and its agencies to use the winner’s name, statements, biographical information, voice,
photo and/or likeness for advertising and trade purposes without further compensation, worldwide
and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, including
without limitation online, unless prohibited by law.
The violation of any of these rules by a designer will be grounds for immediate disqualification from the contest. Any designer that resigns or is terminated or disqualified from the contest for any reason must return to the developer the allotted funds received.
